Responsibilities

  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code mainly in Python
  • Mastering the integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
  • Integration of data storage solutions
  • Handling security and data protection professionally and precisely
  • Collaborative work to provide technical solutions and implement new software features

Requirements

  • BA or MA degree in computer science and/or equivalent
  • 3+ years of programming experience in Python, C++, Java or C#
  • Knowledge of Python programming language
  • Knowledge of object-oriented approach and program design patterns
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Good understanding of the ORM (Object Relational Mapper) approach
  • Solid understanding of server-client communication
  • Experience in using open-source tools
  • Interest in computer graphics
  • Ability to deliver on schedule and work calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of written and spoken English

Nice-to-have

  • Advanced hands-on knowledge and experience of SQLAlchemy/Django frameworks
  • Knowledge of Qt Graphic Framework
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methods
  • Knowledge of DVCS tools (Git, Mercurial)
  • Experience in MVC desktop GUI development
  • Experience in multi-threaded programs development
  • Experience in cross-platform development (Windows, OSX, Linux)
  • Good working knowledge of written and spoken Hungarian
