Responsibilities

Participation in design, POCs and development of complex tasks
Ensuring high-quality delivery by developers
Working closely with architects to communicate, align and implement architecture direction
Aligning with other tech leads to ensure technical consistency
Taking ownership of and driving technical excellence initiatives within Sportsbook
Identifying technical improvements in applications
Validating technical improvements and helping Product Managers prioritise them
Explaining benefits of technical improvements to technical and non-technical audiences
Participating in development, testing, code reviews, bug fixing, implementing new features
Maintaining and improving existing functionality
Participating in technical interviews
Coaching and mentoring engineers
Staying up to date with technology and strategic implementation

Requirements

Passion for building things with strong technical background and understanding of non-functional requirements
Expertise with designing and implementing distributed microservices
Deep understanding of the latest C# and .NET framework/core
Experience deploying scalable back-end solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP
Expertise with distributed systems and high-speed database technologies including SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
Familiarity with messaging systems, message queues, and event-driven architecture
Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Deep understanding of coding best practices
Team player offering help and sharing knowledge
Pro-active attitude to suggest and drive improvements
