Responsibilities

Provision of qualitative compliance advice, advisory support, and oversight
Overseeing regulatory risks and activities associated with marketing, distribution, and delivery of institutional, wealth, and OCIO client solutions in EMEA
Managing routine tasks and responsibilities for the Institutional Clients & Solutions team
Providing regulatory advice, monitoring activities, and training to Budapest office teams as part of the local Country Compliance Officer team
Strengthening relationships between the Compliance Team and business stakeholders and promoting compliance culture
Participating in client due diligence visits, prospective client sales meetings, and direct client conversations
Supporting the launch of new client solutions including regulatory advice on UCITS/AIFMD, pre- and post-trade monitoring, distribution, ESG, MAR matters
Advising on, interpreting regulations, and applying BlackRock's compliance policies for business initiatives, issue management, and breach resolution
Participating in Compliance-led or business-led projects including regulatory developments and strategic initiatives
Contributing to management reporting and communication on Compliance matters to senior management, corporate and/or fund boards, and business stakeholders
Providing advice on anticipating, assessing impact of, and responding to regulatory developments

Requirements

Relevant experience within a control function
At least 3 years of relevant experience within Compliance or Legal in the asset management industry
Solid understanding of UCITS rules, AIFMD, MiFID requirements including investment advice, product governance, costs & charges, client categorization, suitability, research
Knowledge of FCA Rules, MAR, and conduct of business requirements
Experience with regulatory requirements related to distribution of services in EMEA
Strong communication skills to articulate complex regulatory matters
Well-developed relationship management skills
Technical ability and mindset to challenge the status quo appropriately
Solution-oriented mindset and commercial acumen
High standards of professional accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to influence internal clients by delivering timely, credible, accurate, and value-added advice
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks
Ability to collaborate effectively within team and across functions
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
