Responsibilities

Teaching Art across age and ability ranges within a curriculum founded on the National Curriculum for England, GCSEs/IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Teaching Visual Arts up to Higher Level in the IB Diploma Programme
Challenging students to set ambitious targets
Implementing innovative teaching practices to enhance student experience and outcomes
Commitment to the wider role of a teacher in an international school
Enthusiastic form tutoring
Involvement in care and guidance programme
Participation in co-curricular activities

Requirements

Degree in specialist subject
Teaching qualification
Considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum
Qualified to bachelor degree level or above
Qualified Teacher Status
Current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent for countries lived in outside of the UK
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
Willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required
At least two years’ teaching experience
Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curriculum to engage children and enable them to perform highly
Experience working in partnership with parents
Excellent oral and written communication in English
Ability to engage children and enable them to perform highly
Strong organisational skills and use of technology
