Állás leírása
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers regarding product design and manufacturability.
- Review and analyze customer designs, 3D models, and technical specifications fo sheet metal parts
- Apply design-for-manufacturability (DFM) principles and propose improvements to optimize quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Create and structure Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production.
- Prepare accurate production documentation, including drawings, unfolded parts, and assembly instructions.
- Confirm process feasibility in coordination with production teams and process engineering teams.
- Run cost estimation and quotation preparation by providing material and process cost data.
- Ensure that all technical outputs comply with internal standards and customer requirements.
- Any task assigned per company requirement within general job scope of Application Engineer
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and design.
- Strong understanding of metal production processes.
- Proficiency in German (mandatory)
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo, Solidworks)
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design principles, forming limits, and tooling selection for bending technologies.
- Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and Bills of Materials.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
- Hands-on experience and technical expertise are prioritized over formal education.
