Aircraft Engineer

As an Aircraft Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting complex technical cases beyond approved maintenance data limits within an EASA Part 145 environment. Your main responsibilities include preparing engineering and defect reports for OEMs such as Airbus and Boeing, obtaining the necessary approvals, and compiling airline‑specific technical documentation. In this role, you will closely support maintenance teams throughout project preparation, daily operations, and troubleshooting, contributing directly to safe, efficient, and high‑quality aircraft maintenance.

• Manage defect reports and repair proposals to original equipment manufacturers (such as Airbus and Boeing) and obtain necessary approvals
• Prepare and certify Engineering Orders
• Analyze and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation
• Clarify and update software requirements
• Contribute to major modifications and repairs
• Support troubleshooting and process improvements
• Assist in project preparation and audits
• Provide engineering data to airline representatives
• Collaborate with other departments, Lufthansa Technik network, and Design Organizations

• University degree in Mechanical or Aircraft Engineering OR EASA Part-66 B1 license + 5 years of certifying experience
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Strong technical and mechanical knowledge
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; CAD knowledge (programming skills are an advantage)
• Ability to work independently and under time pressure
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel and work in a multicultural environment

• Experience in aircraft maintenance, design, or manufacturing
• Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and certification standards
• Type training on Airbus A320 or Boeing 737
• Familiarity with aircraft systems, engines, avionics, and structures
