Responsibilities

Development and deployment of AI-powered applications from prototype to production using modern LLM frameworks and APIs
Design of evals and metrics measuring real-world performance including accuracy, latency, UX quality, and safety
Building and optimization of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines integrating vector databases and LLMs
Implementation of data pipelines, retraining workflows, and monitoring tools to maintain model currency and performance
Development and implementation of context engineering strategies to improve output quality and control hallucination risks
Collaboration with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to understand business needs and build scalable, resilient systems
Application of agentic AI patterns pragmatically with appropriate complexity for each use case
Championing good engineering practices including code reviews, testing, observability, CI/CD, and reproducibility
Ensuring AI solutions meet security, compliance, and explainability standards

Requirements

3+ years of experience in data science or software engineering with 2+ years focused on AI engineering
Proficiency in Python and experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic
Experience with GenAI frameworks and libraries including LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or Hugging Face Transformers
Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate and RAG pipeline implementation
Proven ability to evaluate AI systems through custom evals, benchmarking, or data curation
Experience developing and deploying AI-powered applications end-to-end from concept through production launch
Familiarity with agentic AI concepts including tool-use, planning, and multi-step reasoning with practical judgment on system complexity
Strong grounding in software engineering principles including version control, modular design, and testing
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Strong understanding of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI practices

Nice-to-have

Experience with model fine-tuning, knowledge graphs, or multi-modal AI systems
Familiarity with AWS services for scalable GenAI deployment and MLOps practices
Demonstrated experience in direct client communication
