Responsibilities

If you're already confident with basic accounting tasks and looking for a diverse and engaging role, we’d love to hear from you!

We are currently expanding our Accounting team to three members and are looking for an Accountant to join us. In this role, you will support our Chief Accountant and be responsible for handling both fundamental and recurring complex accounting and taxation tasks for our company.
  • Performing daily and weekly accounting tasks, including:
    • Booking bank statements
    • Posting supplier invoices after verification
    • Issuing sales and advance invoices
  • Managing fixed asset-related tasks and maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Actively participating in monthly and year-end closing processes and audits (e.g. accruals, payroll accounting, depreciation, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Reviewing and reconciling open items on balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and providing regular feedback and reports to the Chief Accountant
  • Preparing VAT returns for review by the Chief Accountant
  • Preparing and submitting statistical reports (KSH) and other regulatory filings
  • Performing administrative tasks related to the Accounting department

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting and a relevant professional qualification
  • Solid knowledge of Hungarian accounting and taxation principles, processes, and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks after the initial onboarding period
  • Confident user of MS Excel (including functions and pivot tables)
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, sales-driven business environment that values adaptability and efficiency
  • Basic working knowledge of English, as accounting tasks are performed in English

Nice-to-have

  • Certified accountant qualification or a degree in a relevant field
  • Familiarity with Business Central or Navision ERP systems is an advantage
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
