What would you do as part of our team?

Discover the role
Join us as an Accounting Expert and become a part of our outstanding Accounting team, both professionally and personally. You will perform exciting tasks in the field of accounting and taxation according to Hungarian regulations, but for an international client portfolio. Additionally, you will gain experience in technological innovations through various projects.

Your key responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):

Supervise the accounting of companies operating in various industries, which are more complex professionally;
Oversee and give final approval for general ledger and financial processes (payments);
Perform full accounting and general ledger reconciliations (fixed asset module, customer-supplier and intercompany analytics, accruals management, tax calculation and tax account reconciliation, etc.);
Prepare and review client reports (in some cases even based on IFRS or US GAAP);
Prepare monthly and regular tax returns;
Coordinate year-end closing tasks (provision management, valuation tasks, reclassifications, annual tax calculations) and compile the annual report;
Lead audits and represent clients before tax authorities in case of tax audits;
Handle various economic events from an accounting and taxation perspective, and communicate the completed tasks to clients in both English and Hungarian;
Supervise, coordinate, provide feedback, and support the work of accountants and junior accountants;
Interpret and manage the differences between the accounting principles of multinational clients and Hungarian accounting;
Review and submit statistical reports (KSH, MNB).

You are the ideal candidate, if you have…

With a minimum of 3-5 years of experience and relevant qualifications, you have up-to-date knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations;
You communicate excellently and build and maintain relationships with clients;
You are open to learning new systems and interested in process automation;
You are eager to use your advanced English skills in written (and possibly verbal) communication with clients;
You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team;
You have MS Office skills and experience with accounting software;
You manage deadlines excellently, even when handling multiple projects simultaneously.
