Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, proforma, delivery advice and bank reconciliations
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with local accounting standards
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
Ensure compliance with Hungarian tax regulations, including VAT and statutory reporting
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities when required
Monitor cash flow and support management with financial analysis
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

Requirements

Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the wholesale, FMCG, or food industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with Hungarian accounting and tax regulations is a strong advantage
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent in Hungarian and English
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Living in or close to Budapest

Nice-to-have

Professional accounting certification is a plus
