Splunk Specialist level III
Skilled professional with extensive Splunk administration, development, advanced troubleshooting, knowledge management, and implementation experience in a globally distributed and heterogeneous environment. 3+ years experience
Role: Administer a globally distributed and heterogeneous Splunk Shared Service environment. Develop, implement and maintain searches, dashboards, and apps for various teams doing proofs of concept as well as the core Splunk team for monitoring the ongoing operations and health of the service. Must be a team player in a dynamic and global team environment.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent, or 3+ years’ experience in Splunk. Extensive hands-on experience with Splunk 6.x on Windows and Linux. Hands-on experience in configuring search heads, indexers, heavy forwarders, and tiered universal forwarders, using a Deployment Server, multiple search heads, LDAP and SSO configuration, REST API calls, editing existing apps, and automation. Demonstrated ability in analyzing and resolving complex technical issues that involve server, network, and application logs. Must be proficient in Windows Server administration and in at least one of the following scripting languages (Windows CLI, Shell, Python, PowerShell). Desired Skills: Linux Administration, REGEX, Python, Django, XML/JSON, web API, and web design skills a plus.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Strong customer service skills. Strong commitment to fostering and promoting teamwork. Ability to perform multiple project tasks or base support work.
