Senior Service Asset Configuration Management Analyst

    As part of our drive to develop and enhance our technical support offering from our Budapest office we are recruiting for a Senior IT Asset Configuration Management Analyst.

    Working as part of our fast-growing dedicated Global EMEA Service Asset & Configuration Management Team, accountable for a high-priority Unisys client, you will be responsible for orchestrating and driving critical IT Service Management processes. The Service Asset and Configuration (SACM) Manager works with Change Managers, Service Managers, IT Infrastructure Leads and Management to ensure day-to-day operations complies with documented SACM processes and policies. This role will be accountable for SACM data analysis, auditing, quality reviews and data entry into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by electronic automated discovery tools and manual process.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure assets and configuration items required to deliver services are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable information about the assets and CI’s are available when and where needed
  • Perform asset and configuration data validation audits with supporting data sources (i.e. monitoring tools) to ensure accuracy of data transmission to CMDB and to validate physical IT inventory is consistent with the asset and CMS and initiates any necessary corrective action
  • Perform configuration of business application service mapping
  • Develop asset management standards, asset management plans and procedures
  • Assess and drive implementation of efficient ITIL Request and Change Management processes within the IT Organization that deliver Service Asset and Configuration Management data required to support business and technical life-cycle processes
  • Maintain project status information, status accounting records and reports providing CI Status information
  • Control the receipt, identification, storage, and withdrawal of all supported CIs through life-cycle
  • Cause consistent governance of SLA and KPIs associated with SACM data completeness and accuracy
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to advance capabilities of team members
  • May organize, prioritize, direct and oversee the work products of others; functioning as team leader

Key areas of Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Expert understanding of Enterprise IT Infrastructure technologies and support lifecycle requirements
  • 5+ years’ Configuration Management experience
  • Experienced in broad functionality of ITOM platforms such as Micro Focus (HPSM or IT Asset Management), Remedy or ServiceNow
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple data sources (eg. uDiscovery, SCCM, ADDM, ServiceNow Discovery, Altiris, LANDesk, etc.)
  • Programming skills or high degree of understanding of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and database concepts
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification, and general good understanding of ITIL framework
