Task:

  • Determination of the best possible manufacturing costs in cooperation with cross-functional teams from the fields of sales, engineering, program management, production, logistics and purchasing.
  • Proactive control of the costing and project controlling processes as well as coordination of the business acquisition process in coordination with program management and sales.
  • Definition and optimization of the calculation system and calculation bases in coordination with center of competence and the plants.
  • Determination of plant-specific hourly rates and surcharge rates.
  • Performing change calculations as well as cost and investment controlling within the scope of change management in the industrialization and series production phase.
  • Cost analysis to support target cost management, benchmarking and make or buy decisions.
  • Profitability calculations and preparation of business cases on the basis of the prepared costings.
  • Preparation, plausibility check and presentation of the project business case documents within the Business Acquisition Process (BET)
  • Provision of data for budget planning
  • Participation in customer cost analysis workshops to support sales
  • If required, support for purchasing in product cost analyses and supplier cost structure analyses.
  • Training of tools and methods as well as ensuring uniform calculation and project controlling procedures and tools throughout the entire organization

Expectation:

  • Completed studies (economics, engineering, industrial engineering or similar), ideally with a focus on controlling.
  • (Alternatively technical engineer with very good business management knowledge)
  • 1-2 years professional experience in the field of finance or controlling, ideally in an international company
  • Knowledge of production and logistics processes, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Very good Excel knowledge
  • Very good English language skills oral and written
  • Confident attitude and strong assertiveness
  • Good analytical skills and cross-functional thinking
  • Determined and independent working method

Other:

  • Experiences in RFQ, costing and project controlling processes in the industry
  • Knowledge of SAP R3
  • German language skills
  • Experience with database based calculation software
