Responsibilities

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and leadership-oriented Project Manager & Control Tower Manager to oversee our maritime logistics operations. In this role, you will lead strategic logistics project and manage our "Control Tower" – the central hub for real-time visibility, coordination, and optimization of global sea freight movements. You will be the primary point of contact, ensuring operational excellence, cost-efficiency, and end-to-end supply chain transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control Tower Oversight: Manage the centralized logistics hub to monitor global shipments, track carrier performance (KPIs), and ensure proactive exception management.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional project aimed at process optimization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the bridge between shipping lines, co-operators, and internal sales/operations teams.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Utilize data to identify bottlenecks in the maritime supply chain and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans for maritime disruptions (port strikes, weather delays, blank sailings) to ensure continuous flow of goods.
  • Continuous Improvement: Standardize operational workflows and implement "Lean" methodologies within the maritime logistics framework.

Requirements

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in maritime logistics, sea freight, or international shipping. Proven experience in a Control Tower or 4PL environment is a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Logistics Management Systems, BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and advanced Excel.
  • Communication: Fluent in English and Hungarian(written and verbal);
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, high stress tolerance, and a "can-do" leadership mindset.
