TÜV Rheinland InterCert is seeking to recruit to the following role:

On-Site Service Technician

- IT department -

 

Scope: The On-Site Service Technician position is responsible for giving IT support at levels 2 and 3 for all TÜV Rheinland group employees in the Central and Eastern European region and the administration of the company's external field service partners. If appropriate or necessary, on-site intervention may be required.

Core tasks:

  • Contact person for technical problems with hard- and software;
  • On-site service assistance;
  • Administrative tasks related with IT such as IT equipment reports, inventory, user management, and so on;
  • Documentation of problem solutions in the ITSM Knowledge Base;
  • Performing all the above-mentioned tasks also outside the offices of TÜV Rheinland;
  • Following up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved;
  • Managing user’s computers by the corporate tool: new installation, re-install, update, and uninstall software. Optionally, could be done by hand if there is not any other option;
  • Fixing infrastructures subjects related with the user’s workplace;
  • Keeping up-to-date the information inventory about IT assets in the corporate tool;
  • Support of the LAN/WAN related activities

 

Secondary tasks:

  • Support of other IT colleagues in larger projects in the EMEA area;
  • Planning, preparation and implementation of hardware and software rollouts;
  • Instruction and training for employees

Expertise:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience in the field of Information Technology;
  • Knowledge of all actual Windows systems;
  • Basic knowledge of Windows server;
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory;
  • Network architecture, infrastructure, and IP network knowledge;
  • Hardware skills (mobile, desktop, server, network and backup devices);
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Products;
  • Knowledge of printing issues;
  • ITIL knowledge is an asset,
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar field, at least 3 years of relevant administrator experience in a corporate environment

Professional skills:

  • Walking customer through problem-solving process;
  • Writing training manuals;
  • Running diagnostic programs to resolve problems;
  • Identifying technical issues related Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems;
  • Installing computer and peripherals for users;
  • At least high school degree;
  • Foreign languages: English Level B2
