Network Automation Engineer

The Hungarian branch operates in Budapest and remotely coordinates the technical infrastructure of the Central and Eastern European region.

We are looking for enthusiastic and agile candidates to the position of Network Automation Engineer for developing software tools to deploy network infrastructure component configurations of Allianz Data Centers in automated way.


  • Develop and maintain software tools to solve complex network management and monitoring tasks on Citrix NetScaler infrastructure components, including
    • deploying and auditing device configuration in automated way
    • planning and performing infrastructure changes
    • monitoring infrastructure health, including metrics collection, visualization, and alerting
  • Integrate scripts with central automation / orchestration tools
  • Write and maintain proper test scenarios and detailed documentation for software tools
  • Support infrastructure change and service requests within the CEE and other regions based on Customer requests in ServiceNow
  • Operational and administrative duties on the field of load-balancing / reverse-proxy / monitoring
  • Performs regularly scheduled 24/7 standby duties within the Load-balancing Engineering Team to support Load-balancing Operation Team in case of major changes and incidents


  • A college or university degree in relevant subjects
  • Combine skill sets of networking, automation, and software development (DevOps) to deliver automation solutions with at least 2-3 years of experience in multinational environment
  • High level communication skills with advanced English
  • Proactive approach is expected
  • Deal with problems independently
  • Collaboratively work with other engineers in the team to identify and resolve design, implementation and operational issues and incidents
  • Basic understanding and experience of an ITIL based delivery model
  • Experience in automation / orchestration solutions using the followings:  Python and / or Ansible, YAML / JSON, Git(Lab) + CI/CD, REST API
  • Comfortable using the Linux / Unix command line and command line tools
  • Basic understanding of networking, equivalent knowledge of Cisco CCNA


  • Industrial certifications in appropriate topics (Ansible for Network Automation and / or Citrix NetScaler CCP-N accredited)
  • Additional experience in data center networking and security technologies (Citrix NetScaler, Cisco NX-OS, CheckPoint / network virtualization, VMware ESXi)
  • Experience in international IT projects
  • Experience in administering and developing open-source monitoring systems (SNMP / Prometheus / Grafana / Zabbix)
  • Experience in Cisco SDN technologies (ACI)
  • Industrial certifications in appropriate topics (Cisco CCNP)
