The global network of the leading audio-visual rental, event technology and event production specialists is looking for a

Marketing and Communications Specialist

    to coordinate the network’s internal and external communications activities internationally.
    (N.B. Special Effects is only coordinating the selection process for its international partner, AV Alliance.)

The job holder will

  • organise internal meetings (agenda, speakers, bookings, catering, invitations, travel arrangements), as well as public events (e.g. at tradeshows)
  • prepare contracts with suppliers (e.g. hotels, catering companies etc.)
  • create and manage newsletters
  • write and distribute press releases
  • manage and develop the network’s social media presence and the AV Alliance website
  • design appealing PowerPoint presentations for various purposes
  • manage the financial administration related to the above-listed activities
  • provide the board with administrative support
  • contribute to the network’s marketing strategy

We would love to hear from you, if

  • you are interested in working on a contractual basis (3 year contract)
  • you feel comfortable working independently in a highly virtual environment
  • you are motivated to travel frequently
  • you have min. 5 years of work experience, at least 2 of which should be marketing-related
  • you have a background in organising events (and contracting suppliers, such as hotels, caterers, speakers etc.)
  • you are experienced in managing a social media presence
  • you are fluent in English (in addition, knowledge of the German language would be an asset)
  • you are committed to delivering quality and results
  • you have a highly developed sense of responsibility
  • you are an effective administrator
  • you are an advanced user of MS Office
  • you are sociable and open-minded
