Lead Project Scheduler

Responsibilities

  • Drives a culture of commitments to Schedule and to dates within the team.
  • Supports and instils a culture of integrity within the team
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement and development within the team through methods such as lessons learned analysis
  • Encourages safe practices and systems of work, ensuring relevant Company and regulatory compliance at all times including, but not limited to, the application of all internal EHS requirements.
  • Bid stage: responsible for creating and optimizing the forecasted scheduling execution plan (schedules, risks associated identified, and notes of assumptions
  • Execution stage: In the context of his/her duties, reports operationally to the project manager and functionally to the Lead Scheduler
  • Supports Project Managers in driving Project compliance with customer contracts, proactively collaborating with the team to identify and resolve any deviance.
  • Builds, monitors, updates and analyses the schedule and the time management plan where applicable
  • Guarantees the base line and its development in accordance with process rules
  • Assists the project manager in Client reporting, advises him/her (acceleration, resources), and also contributes to providing records and analysis to the contract manager.
  • Contributes to overall project strategy concerning aspects pertaining to the planning, scheduling and phasing of the construction and to resource balancing
  • Takes part in implementing appropriate strategies to identify areas of margin expansion and erosion, along with corresponding reporting and development of appropriate action plans.
  • Proactively engages with key customers’ stakeholders in support of the project management team.
  • Follows project performance criteria concerning planning and provide accurate forecasting of project delivery
  • Measures floats, participates in their analysis and management
  • Realizes detailed planning studies on work packages
  • Challenges and critically integrates/consolidates elements from internal stakeholders
  • Identifies and delivers schedule improvements axis to PMs
  • Takes an active part in project risks and opportunities management
  • Constructs the “as built” schedule
  • Produces schedules and contract reports
  • Contributes to the lessons learned (REX) on planning aspect
  • Guarantees the application of QHSE rules in his/her area

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the EP and EPC business.
  • Proven high technical experience with forecasting using Primavera P6 and MS project
  • Proven sound technical experience with scheduling methodologies (CPA, float management)
  • Risk mitigation experience. Sense of anticipation
  • Excellent communication skills (receiving and sharing information) between internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical expertise
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the global nature of this role.
  • Knowledge of relevant ERP systems such as SAP Project Systems (as desired)
