Role Summary/Purpose

Controllership team is responsible for playing a vital role in driving multiple business process improvement and supervising closing activities. Using operational knowledge to support all finance functions across the business to achieve better performance and higher efficiency.


  • Build strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders across functions
  • Supervising local teams’ activities including closing reporting and account reconciliation cycles ensuring high quality and timely delivery of financial information
  • Prepare materials and give training on technical accounting and other areas where knowledge gaps of the teams are identified
  • Implement business ops strategy to day to day operation
  • Identify projects to drive better outcomes on key metrics
  • Ensure that internal controls and checkpoints are in place and are followed
  • Co-ordination and review of complex transactions and confirmation of the accounting treatment
  • Completeness check of account reconciliations for the management entities in scope
  • Provide insights and feedback to Sr. Ops Controller from day to day operation experience


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Minimum significant finance experience
  • Strong analytical skills and Controllership mindset
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes
  • Ability to prioritize workload and show clear commitment to meeting reporting deadlines
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • SAP knowledge


  • Controllership/Intercompany/Project accounting experience within or outside GE
  • Multitasking, able to prioritize according to the business strategies
