IT Asset and Configuration Management Lead

    As part of our drive to develop and enhance services and support capability delivered from our Budapest office, we are recruiting for an IT Asset and Configuration Management Leader.

    This leadership role will manage a large, highly visible team of Service Asset Configuration Management staff delivering IT Enterprise, End User Asset Management and Software Asset Management services for a prestigious high-priority Unisys client. The Team Leader is expected to also have capability to be a hands-on technical person that can contribute to support delivery operations as required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee team execution and effectiveness with the delivery of configuration and asset management lifecycle process outputs; daily business as usual deliverables
  • Implement governance and processes that achieve committed customer deliverables
  • Manage continuous improvement of the data completeness and data accuracy metrics
  • Proactively review, identify and recommend changes to delivery support processes to drive continuous improvement of the service asset & configuration management process
  • Maintain content accuracy of operational process / knowledge base documents
  • Actively participate in internal and client-facing conference calls and drive data quality correction and improvement initiatives
  • Act as the Global Asset Management organization EMEA region point of contact and leader
  • Ensure that staffing, skill capability, productivity and service delivery actions of the organization are managed to achieve customer requirements and expectations
  • Manage the labor workload, align staffing appropriately to address support requirements
  • Manage and lead project efforts independently with minimal engagement from senior leadership
  • Engage recruiting to perform staffing, interviews, offer recommendations, onboarding
  • Develop departmental staffing and expense budgets annually; support financial initiatives
  • Perform administrative duties to support the organization; performance goals, performance evaluations, salary administration, training
  • Drive to meet and exceed customer expectations and inspire peers and staff to do the same

Key Technical areas of Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience leading organization of 10 or more employees
  • 7+ years working experience and specialized knowledge with defining, documenting, implementing Asset Management and Configuration Management lifecycle processes for IT hardware, software and End User desktop/laptop devices
  • Strong subject matter expertise with IT Service Management processes of Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem and Release Management for IT infrastructure
  • 5+ years working experience with ITIL processes and preferred experience within the managed IT service industry, working directly with client service management
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze data correctness and accuracy from multiple data sources (eg. SCCM, ADDM, ServiceNow Discovery, Altiris, LANDesk, etc.)
  • Operational familiarity with IT Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy and HPSM
  • Extremely adept at Data Management using tools like MS Excel on an advanced level

  • The ability to identify and implement process improvement initiatives


  • You’ll have technical advantage if:

  • You have completed an ITIL v3 Foundation and Intermediate certification
  • You are familiar with HP Service Manager, HP Asset Manager, MS Access, Excel VBA
