Expectation:

You’ll join us with strong knowledge of Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow toolchain, dSpace tools, including target link, Control Desk, AutomationDesk, HIL architecture. You’ll have proven experience with Software configuration tools, Automated test tools and script writing. You’ll be educated to degree level in relevant subject. You’ll have strong organisational, project management and communication skills.

Task:

Chassis Engineering team is one of the most experienced of its type, and has the knowledge and talent to hold its own against the best chassis engineers anywhere in the world. Accountable for numerous features, Driving Dynamics Attribute, Motion Systems, Software Control and Commodities, the team has a broad remit at every layer of the business, spanning research through to current production. It’s what customers expect from a luxury brand. It's what this team makes happen. HIL Engineer role is within the Driver Modes team, forming part of the Chassis and Motion Control Systems team section of Chassis Engineering. The team provides control system and software design and development expertise for existing and future chassis related features such as Terrain Response, 4x4i information and Hardware in the Loop testing. As a HIL Engineer you’ll be responsible for HIL design, implementation and maintenance. You’ll perform upgrades of the hardware and software to support the ongoing Hardware in the Loop strategy. You’ll also be responsible for the software and hardware required to enable the validation and testing of ECU modules required by the Driver Modes team. You’ll develop HILST test environments (L3 Component and L4 Systems Level) for purposes of Vehicle ECU subsystems test/verification/validation. You’ll capture all functional requirements for HILST environment to satisfy ECU/Systems test. You’ll design HILST environment in alignment with formal requirements, using model based engineering approach (Simulink / Stateflow). You’ll support development of bespoke tools/modules as required to support ECU test/validation. You’ll configure commercial tools as required to support ECU test/validation (Canalyzer, Canape, ASL, AVD , INCA, Vehicle Spy). You’ll have the responsibility to create simulation models & environments for offline function development.
