The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level in both technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
Your contribution to something big
► Performing application development for power semiconductors modules, inverters and converters based on MOSFET, IGBT or SiC Technology
► Ensure electrical performance of power components from 100W up to 200kW for automotive applications such as power modules for (hybrid) electric cars
► As project representative responsible for coordination of simulation and test activities.
► Describe and secure the interactions of the power semiconductor components with all design elements of the commutation cell.
► Create specifications (definition and harmonization of requirements and derivation to sub-components)
► Care about product test topics for power modules in development
► Optimization of test specification including release of new test programs
► Work actively in multidisciplinary teams together with chip/module developers and ECU customers to
► develop optimized power circuits with innovative/intelligent power semiconductor components
What distinguishes you?
► Master degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, PhD a plus but not mandatory
► Three years working experience in the areas of semiconductor testing or application development or hardware development or power semiconductor development or similar
► Experience with Matlab and simulation tools (Simplorer, LT-Spice, pSpice) are highly beneficial
► Fluent English communication and presentation skills, German is beneficial
► Ability to lead others
► Self-motivated, structured, analytical, team player with strong desire for continuous learning
