Financial Operations Specialist – Procure to Pay – Italian speaking - 259676

    In this role you will function as a Subject Matter Expert when it comes to Procure to Pay processes in the Real Estate team. The essence of the role is to provide operational support for the team by handling escalations and taking ownership for Procure to Pay process improvement or implementation projects. As operational tasks, you will book compliant invoices ensuring that invoices are properly meeting country specific tax and legal requirements. You will also keep regular contact with Vodafone’s key partners answering and investigating vendor queries focusing on the Italian market.

What you will do:

  • Monitor and book incoming invoices, ensure timely and accurate invoice processing,
  • Execute regular and ad-hoc payments to vendors and maintain payment records in sub-ledger,
  • Customer service to vendors located in Italy, ensure that information for queries are provided both for internal and external parties,
  • Ensure that P2P related balance sheet reconciliation is performed in line with company policies. Monitors and analyses payables and ensure that open items are cleared regularly,
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, perform P2P related month-end closing activities,
  • Be the first point of contact for stakeholders when it comes to operational questions, issues and represent the team in various local market calls
  • Support the team’s junior members by acting as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Take ownership of end-to-end issue resolution including root cause analysis
  • Establish good understanding of the end-to-end Real Estate process working closely with the relevant parties in other departments and operating companies
  • Compile, deliver and analyze reports as needed and provide proposals for corrective actions where necessary

Requirements:

  • Fluent Italian and at least intermediate English knowledge
  • At least 2 years of experience gained in a similar role in a multinational environment
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience working with global ERP systems, like SAP
  • Customer focus and great communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
