Experienced Hardware Developer

What you will do:

  • Be part of our highly skilled Electrical Engineering team
  • Work with state-of-the-art technologies in the telecommunication/server industry, including latest x86 platforms, SSD storage, DDR memory etc.
  • Translate high level engineering requirements into electrical drawings
  • Simulate, calculate parameters and design complex server platform boards and specific hardware components
  • Verify and measure assembled boards in our professionally equipped lab environment
  • Support resolution of complex problems occurring on field deployed telecom backhaul systems, collaborating with teams internal and external to Flex
  • Support production to reduce the number of failing units, which requires close cooperation with our manufacturing sites worldwide
  • Identify and introduce design changes to improve the overall quality of our supported products
  • Develop new processes/tools which will make our work more efficient
  • Create and update corresponding design documentation

Fit & Experience: we want to speak with you if YOU...

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Several years of experience in hardware design
  • Hands-on measurement knowledge using high-end oscilloscopes, logic analyzers etc.
  • Familiar with one or more of the following areas: low voltage digital power supply design, high speed interfaces like SATA, PCIE, ethernet, DDR3/DDR4, low speed interfaces like I2C, SPI.
  • Experience collaborating with the ECAD PCB/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs

We consider the following experiences as a plus

  • ECAD schematic/PCB design tools like Cadence Allegro or Mentor Graphics
  • User level Linux knowledge
  • Scripting language knowledge (TCL, Bash, Python)
  • FPGA design
  • Signal and Power Integrity simulation environments (Sisoft, Sigrity, Hyperlynx),
  • Soldering practice with surface mount components
