Engineering Lead

in our Budapest Office

    Corporate Services (CS) is a department within the Company's Administration division. CS offers a robust portfolio of services such as facility management, property and workplace management, Health&Safety services, travel services, mail and distribution, output management, physical security, food and hospitality, management of the Firm's long-term real estate strategy plus a number of other services.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Key point of contact for all maintenance / engineering related incidents, issues, requests and projects
  • Managing and ensuring smooth running of daily operation of;
  • General engineering and fabrics maintenance works
  • Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Physical Security
  • Taking part in the scoping, negotiation and ongoing management of all building maintenance and engineering contracts
  • Close interaction with EMEA and Global engineering teams
  • Manage reviews of maintenance / engineering related contracts, ensuring that activities are planned and undertaken in a manner that reduces risk to operatives and staff
  • Obtaining offers/price quotations and subsequent evaluation
  • Contact person for Landlord and the Facilities Service Provider of Morgan Stanley office with regards to developing and maintaining a robust facilities planned preventative maintenance regime to ensure equipment and assets, and all associated statutory requirements, emergency operating processes and procedures are maintained to the highest standard
  • BCP – assistance in coordination of Business Continuity Planning at Corporate Services
  • Undertaking routine audits to ensure that the provision of Landlord and Morgan Stanley supplied services continue to meet requirements
  • Provide assistance for Head of Corporate Services in project management and supervise site construction works, ad hoc tasks
  • Management of 3rd party vendor staff
  • Manage planned power down events across the EMEA region

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of 1st hand experience in managing and dealing with technical issues and concerns raised by end clients
  • Physical Security, Health and Safety as well as Fire Safety experience
  • Engineering degree
  • Fluency in Hungarian and English
  • General knowledge of all facets of building services, including but not limited to; electrical systems, mechanical and air conditioning systems, controls, plumbing and building fabric
  • Proven experience in managing staff as well as vendor relationship
  • Facility management experience essential
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Team player
