Our client is looking for their new Director of Supply Chain for their plant in Budapest

Director of Supply Chain


  • Responsible for overseeing all Supply Chain related activities in a manner that is compliant with all applicable international, federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Continuously improve the stakeholder satisfaction
    • while balancing supply requirements and available capacities, optimizing the costs and managing the compliance
    • while ensuring proper interface with production, engineering, quality, regulatory and commercial functions
  • Support full production schedule adherence to the production plans through proper procurement of all direct and indirect materials in different locations and external warehouses and maintaining of raw material safety stocks to appropriate levels.
  • Govern & ensure implementation of business priorities
  • Derive global supply by considering inventory levels, replenishment time and available capacity
  • Participate in target setting process to ensure mid- and long-term goals are met and participate in the budget preparation
  • Drives new product launches and is accountable for system parametrization and further master data on supply chain components
  • Supervising the import-export license management
  • Supervising the Warehouse and Logistics Incidents Management, Complaints Management (logistical complaints, Root cause analysis, etc.)
  • Manage, optimize and report supply chain metrics and other key performance indicators
  • Review, analyze and assess risk to supply and demand variability and identify opportunities to manage and mitigate risk
  • Examine competitive intelligence on new solutions and technologies to maintain standards of excellence and best practices and implement standardization, optimization and establishment of all product supply chains and their processes to ensure compliant product supply at any time and circumstances
  • Lead, manage and develop the direct reports
  • Build strong relationships with external customers and suppliers


  • Master degree or in Engineering, Commerce or Administration with specialization in Supply Chain or logistics
  • At least 10 years of global supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment in a multinational company
  • 6 years of progressive leadership
  • A track record of successfully developing and implementing global Supply Chain functions
  • Experience implementing transformations (e.g. new processes, new tools) and integration
