Data Analyst
We are looking for a Data Analyst with a strong BI focus to join one of our leading Hungarian-based, innovative software development partners.
Task:
• identifies analytical needs of each department through one-to-one communications of key employees; duties specific to this function may include the assessment of the following: what decisions need to be made, why decisions need to be made, when decisions need to be made, and who will use the data and insights to make the decisions
• design, implementation, and enhancement of reports, data models, data processes to support day-to-day business and strategical decisions
• creating complex SQL queries for data extraction (from source systems) and appropriate transformation
• produce analyses and interactive reports in Power BI, develop and operate quality assurance processes for the whole chain
• negotiate new requirements with business users and data structures with source systems experts
• support for building data strategy, data warehouse, reporting and dashboard systems
• analyze data, deliver insights, and present them to the stakeholders
• works closely together with the data engineers and specify development requests for them
• assists users with data related tools, provide trainings if needed
• communicates appropriately with business users to understand their needs
• proceeds with appropriate actions that include requirements documentation, design and use
• ensures that information is available as needed in a timely fashion and is accurate, valid and reliable

Expectation:
• 5+ years of data and analyses experience at a multi-national company
• bachelor or higher degree from a university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Management or Economics
• experience in a business analytics/intelligence utilizing enterprise databases with large scale, complex data sets performing data mining and deep dive analysis
• experience in Power BI, preferred Power BI Service in creating reports, dashboards, publishing datasets and setting up RLS
• experience in building and transforming queries to different data sets using Power Query; data analysis, and ETL processes
• relational database experience/SQL know-how and knowledge of data warehouse technologies
• strong statistics and analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in databases, query languages and data visualization tools
• creation and maintenance of appropriate documentation to support the delivery of the service or project
• business-oriented mindset, problem-solving skills, precise attention to detail, excellent client facing and stakeholder management skills
• proficiency in English, communicative personality, insightfulness
