CZ/SK Speaker Invoice Matching Associate

The Role

Within Tesco Business Services & Technology the Finance Services function provides support for the TESCO Central European Businesses in transactional area. 

Our team in Budapest works together with all departments within the business, ensures payment of invoices and secures the right income for TESCO.

The Financeteam consists of more than 100 multilingual colleagues providing services for the Czech, Slovak & Hungarian markets.

  • Processing of all transactions and understands Business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco Invoice Matching processes
  • Manage Invoice Matching exceptions, calling out to the process immediately and reporting it
  • Pro-actively resolves GFR, EDI, promo, return or consignment issues by collaborating with relevant teams/suppliers in accordance with Controls
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement - support Lead in sharing best practices & making process improvements
  • Ensuring 100% compliance to Audit and any other regulations the process deals with Sub ledger reconciliation and Period End sweep activities, posting period close transactions, ensuring any accounting errors are resolved before close; and performing reconciliation of sub systems to sub and general ledger
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity & due diligence
  • Identifying operational improvements and finding solutions by applying Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
  • Responsible for completing tasks and transactions within agreed KPI’s
  • Should have speed in terms of handling large volumes of queries & ensure these are closed within the agreed SLA
  • Preparing relevant reports applicable to my role including ad-hoc reports required by Manager & Head- Finance
  • Ability to work as a team player across multiple team Matching of invoices for GFR and other documents to returns in accordance with accounting policies and tax law
  • Supplier balance sheet reconciliation and support / (issues etc.)
  • Cooperate and support our admin team in India
  • Following the instructions and fulfilling assignments given to me by my line superior and delivering ad hoc tasks
  • Daily work with query report and tracking query invoices, EDI errors
  • Handling consignment, concession and promo invoices and follow up the return process and clear the technical returns

Your background

  • College/University/High school degree 
  • Advanced Czech or Slovakian language knowledge
  • Intermediate English knowledge
  • Some experience in finance, invoicing, billing.
