Channel Manager – Retail, Fleet, Alternative Sales Channel - 000000100006

Role purpose:

    Responsible for Retail, Fleet, Mass retail, 3rd Party and D2D consumer related sales channels to ensure maximum performance and channel efficiency. Define commission structure and set targets, understand the channel performance and commercial objectives to increase commission efficiency and overall revenue growth.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    Prepare and recommend distribution strategy materials towards both local management and Group.
  • Participate in strategic projects related to distribution
  • Monitor changes in the market and actions carried out by competitors
  • Collect and analyse data from stakeholders
  • Proactively search solutions and make relevant conclusions from the data
  • Prepare decision support materials to distribution strategy to the management, manage governance process

  • Manage commission system for franchisees and the employee incentive system of Retail Channel and Online Channel
  • Business owner of the commission system of Retail, Fleet, Mass retail, 3rd Party and D2D channels. Continuously analyse the commission system and introduce new ideas to increase commission efficiency
  • Work together with commission/incentive concerned teams to develop clear processes and KPIs
  • Launch and manage projects to maximize the effect of commission/incentive systems based on information such as regularly reviewed KPIs, changed focus points, strategic goals
  • Responsible for the commission logic, supports spending the available budget in the best way to deliver our objectives
  • Responsible for the tariff points link to the tariff margins
  • Test all developments, related to commission incentive system or commission calculation
  • Develop clear plans and KPIs to improve dealer performance (where necessary), set commission levels for each store

  • Analyse retail footprint to maximize sales and efficiency
  • Participate in store refresh programme and footprint planning with preparing analysis
  • Collect and synthethise data for footprint strategy from relevant departments

  • Be the owner of regular footprint and distribution related reports, participate in Retail 2020, and any future company wide refurbishment programs.
  • Be the owner of regular reports, share conclusions and necessary actions with other stakeholders
  • Regular reports and feedback for Distribution Management members

  • Responsible for sales efficiency of channels, define recommendation to increase efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for savings and spendings with segments, retail or channel operations
  • Work with Controlling Team to continue improving modelling to ensure most accurate data.

  • Input and execute Channel Strategy for channels
  • Based on the regular review of KPIs, recommend changes

  • Prepare and recommend distribution strategy materials towards both local management and Group.
  • Participate the 3yr distribution strategy document including total distribution efficiency targets
  • Coordinate with channel owners on long term channel projects that effect transactions, service and performance at different touchpoints

  • Lead new distribution model introduction projects within the organization
  • Manage the introduction on new multi-touchpoint distribution projects within the organization (D2D, X-channel)
  • Contact with other op-cos to share and reapply best practices in distribution and One channel opportunities
  • Take the lead in channel innovation, i.e. identify future-proof channel-specific initiatives, prepare analysis and support local implementations

  • Analyse existing channel processes with the aim to recommend simplification opportunities.
  • Take a critical view of current processes with the aim to simplify and change in order to better serve our customers

  • Own the cross channel/touchpoint transaction view of shoppers and their journeys
  • Conduct shopper understanding and research when necessary with involvement of the insight team/teleresearch teams
  • Have clear understanding of current and desired cross channel/touchpoint journeys
  • Work with channel heads and CXX manager to improve journey experience for our shoppers/customers/prospective customers

  • Analyse channel performance
  • Continuously analyse channel performance and introduce new ideas to increase sales numbers and sales efficiency
  • Work together with sales/marketing/product development concerned teams to explore channel performance causes, develop clear processes and KPIs
  • Develop clear plans and KPIs to improve channel performance (where necessary)
  • Participate in testing all developments, related to commission incentive system, commission calculation or performance tracking

  • Manage Target setting process for Retail, Fleet, Mass retail, 3rd Party and D2D channels
  • Continuously develop target setting quality
  • Individual influencing among segment and sales teams to improve targeting

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • University degree and fluent in English
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, ability to synthetise knowledge based on fragmented data
  • A team player, with strong relationship- and stakeholder management, leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to work across teams and functions to coordinate things and get actions completed
  • Pragmatic approach, structured thinking
  • Punctual, thorough execution, eye to the detail
  • Strong MS Excel skills, SQL knowledge is a plus
