Business Process Junior Analyst

About the opportunity:

 

We are seeking a Business Process Junior Analyst to join a newly created team in our Budapest office with the Service, Quality and Environmental (SQE) business, who own and drive the support, service levels, and product quality activities with our retail partners and consumers for all products throughout Europe. You will join a team of business and functional analysts who are responsible for constantly re-thinking and improving business process flows, increasing a better customer experience and / or decreasing the cost for Sony. You will specifically monitor day-to-day IT incident & escalation management and formulates solutions to avoid future occurrence. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Guidance/follow-up of SQE 3rd party incoming escalations related to IT failures
  • IT cause/failure comprehension + SQE business impact assessment
  • Judgement of IT failures prioritisation
  • Setting up communication between SQE business and IT technical people (internally + 3rd parties)
  • Follow-up on resolution (according to SLA) + future avoidance by suggesting IT solutions
  • Liaise with other SQE business/functional analysts on Change & Test Mgmt
  • Prepare test scenario definition according to new system changes needed
  • Support on test execution for future IT change
  • Adapt escalation management to potential future issues caused by new change
  • Documenting cause/impact/how-to-resolve for quick future escalation avoidance

You will:

  • Function as overall primary escalation point at SQE in case of bigger IT failures and follows up on cause-to-resolution with all parties involved, translating business operations to IT process flows and vice versa
  • Report on regular basis to SQE business colleagues and 3rd parties
  • Analyse IT failure cause, time-to-resolution and business impact by: requesting detailed information from IT counterparts trying to understand link between cause and consequence checking if any improvement in escalation path / IT involvement can be achieved suggesting alternative solutions to prevent future occurrences recommending monitor measurements documenting ‘what-to-do’ in case of repetitive failure with same cause
  • Prepares new test scenarios or keeps existing test scenarios up-to-date to test new changes, and affected existing processes (aka “regression testing”)
  • Own the planning/monitoring of test execution for every release cycle, including plans the SQE & 3rd party resources for test execution, and coordinating further fixes being required by IS for failed tests

You will have:

  • University “Master” degree or equivalent by experience
  • Some experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of English - other European languages are an asset
  • Excellent problem solver for follow-up day-to-day IT incident management
  • Has the ability to report clearly on cause/impact/SLA of IT incidents
  • Team player and good communicator, who can easily establish excellent working relationships
  • Has the willingness to improve with a critical mind-set and is result oriented
  • Understands nature of IT problems converting these into future IT solutions description
  • Experience in preparing/writing test scenario’s + Test Mgmt tools
  • Keen to reach deadlines successfully and ability to work under pressure
  • Passion for technology and a strong interest in our products
