Accounting Supervisor

Accounting supervisor:

    Plays a vital role in any organization or business.
    Operates in organizing day to day RTR GL accounting operation role with a relevant people management (Team coordinators, Team members that helps to facilitate the daily functions and operations of the organization.
    Secure on boarding schedules and starter training for new joiners, plays important role in quality and timely
    Journal Entry approval and account reconciliation approval processes
    Team lead has a close working relationship in order to keep the relevant team running smoothly.
    Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
    Key contributor in quality and timely month end close processes, participating in good SOX Control processes

Main Responsibilities:

  • Offers routine instructions to team members on job responsibilities.
  • Provides continuous supervision for team members in order to secure the quality and timely performance of team members as per standards.
  • Handles the routines operations and resolve the issues related to the operation.
  • Supports the development of processes and procedures.
  • Determines opportunities to streamline current processes.
  • Manages subordinates deliverable, manage team members, setup and assess performance goals, support team members development plan.
  • Actively participate in recruitment processes, contribute to hiring procedure running interview and specific selection tests, and manage on boarding with secure proper introduction training and probational period testing.
  • Ensure individual and/group training needs are captured and addressed in order to manage proper individual/team development.
  • Adheres to project plans. (acts as SME or even PM)
  • Secure timely and quality delivery of month end close/year end close activities, secure internal and external audit requests and proper authority support are delivered.
  • Secure up-to date Work Instructions are available, team members are following the latest version.
  • Secure GL accountant team group setup: proper business critical activities backup plan is in place, deputy team is trained, proper system accesses are provided and trained, support deputy organization is up and running without business interruption.
  • Main contact point of cross-functional collaboration, secure proactive communication is existing.
  • Secure proper root cause analysis for business incidents linked to the team.
  • Approve and review Journal entries based on Approval Policy, secure timely preparation is delivered by team members in order to achieve JE approval deadlines delivery.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications College or university degree preferably in finance/accountancy
  • Experience Min. 5 year in the relevant field (RTR, accounting or finance)
  • Advanced communication level in English (both written and verbal) Essential, Other European language knowledge Advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Having deep understanding of RTR GL processes
  • Trainer skills (on the job training)
  • People management skills
  • Holistic view of entity P&L and Balance Sheet management, big picture approach
  • Excellent communication skills within the RTR organization and across functions as well
  • Attitude & disposition Logical thinking and pay attention to the details under pressure as well
  • High tolerance for monotony
  • Good time-manager and be able to organize his/her or subordinates day-to-day tasks
  • Supportive attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Customer-centric mindset (internal and external audit stakeholders communication)
  • Other circumstances Complete competency check within probation period (min. 85%)
