Accounting Specialist (24119)

The Business Support Centre (BSC) of Avis Budget Group, a globally leading vehicle rental service provider, is providing support from Budapest mainly covering customer care, commercial support and financial services.

In our Financial Services Teams we have roles with varying complexity providing the opportunity to gradually gain experience in full scope of accounting. One of the more complex functions is Network Accounting, a team responsible financial and accounting activities related to financial movements between different Avis Budget Group entities and partners such as licensees, agencies etc.

Your role will be:

  • Processing, reporting and booking invoices or other cost information flows from partners;
  • Analysis and control of partner costs;
  • Producing invoices / bills and credit notes to issue to partners;
  • Ensure partner contract details are continuously updated in our systems;
  • Calculate licensee and agency fees and ensure they are billed;
  • Cash receipt processing and control;
  • Make bank payments and control instalments;
  • Doing month end related reconciliations and associated month end, quarter end or year end tasks;
  • Managing and controlling data uploads covering amongst other things sales volumes, commissions and tax charges;
  • Processing, analysis and control of partner statements and then issue to partners;
  • Prepare partner performance targets and scorecards;
  • Prepare monthly cash flow reports;
  • Handle partner queries and claims, solving problems either in writing or through verbal communications;
  • Supporting senior colleague and team lead, acting independently;
  • Always proactively look at how the process could be improved;
  • Ensure that process documentation is kept up to date with the correct tracking and documenting all changes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience  in Invoice processing (Receivables & Payables)
  • Demonstrated accounting principles knowledge related to invoice bookkeeping (sales and purchases)
  • Ability to handle big volumes of invoices in high quality, attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude to solve problems and communicate to different stakeholders
  • Experience with Ledger & bookkeeping systems (specific system not required: SAP, ORCACLE etc. is a plus)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and at least be able to read in one of the next languages: French/Italian/German
