We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join the professional team of ICT America, our U.S. business division.
ICT Europe is one of Hungary’s fastest-growing and largest Hungarian-owned financial, accounting, consulting, and legal service providers. Through ICT America, we support our clients in the United States with a full range of accounting and financial services, including bookkeeping, payroll, tax return preparation, as well as more complex financial and business consulting solutions such as business development and market entry strategy.

  • Preparing and organizing client documentation for accounting and financial processes.
  • Recording accounting transactions (AP, AR, bank, cash, payroll, fixed assets).
  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Participating in year-end closing and assisting with related reporting tasks.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients regarding financial data and documentation.
  • Preparing payroll data based on the required frequency and supporting payroll processes.
  • Assisting with invoicing, payments, and day-to-day financial administration as required by clients.
  • Preparing documentation for various U.S. authorities, including state-level offices and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
  • Supporting tax return preparation and related compliance processes.
  • Preparing Excel-based reports, analyses, and financial data summaries.
  • Supporting consulting projects from an operational perspective.
  • Collecting offers and coordinating with external service providers.
  • Assisting in the preparation of contracts and related documentation.
  • Preparing and submitting applications to various U.S. state authorities.
  • Coordinating with authorities and client partners to ensure smooth process execution.
  • Handling ad hoc administrative and operational tasks related to international projects.
  • You have a degree in a relevant field (finance, accounting). Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • You have a high level of English proficiency and actively use it (written and spoken).
  • You possess financial and accounting knowledge.
  • You have strong Excel skills (data handling, functions, basic analysis) and use it confidently in your daily work.
  • You are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
  • You are solution-oriented: you actively look for answers and are not discouraged by unfamiliar problems.
  • You are persistent and proactive: you are willing to take ownership and follow tasks through to completion,even if they are new to you.
  • You are adaptable and open to learning: you are comfortable working on tasks you may not have done before and are motivated to figure them out.
  • Interest in international business and the U.S. market is a strong advantage.

Working hours
  • Our core working hours are 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (CET), providing a structured yet comfortable daily rhythm.
  • As we work closely with clients in the United States, there are occasionally pre-scheduled meetings outside of core hours (typically later in the day) to accommodate time zone differences.
  • We believe in mutual flexibility and trust: while some days may require later availability, we make sure you can balance this with a more flexible start or adjusted schedule on the same or following day.
